I still have a the box it came in ... well not really

Because a few high profile people, or rather people who are being profiled for a mass audience, have come out saying that they are virgins it has stirred interest in these people and in many cases ridicule about their choice to abstain or live a chaste life outside of the professions of religion.

I’m not sure exactly why anyone really cares one way or the other if you are getting any or not but it seems to be noteworthy.

However, I’m curious if these chaste ones will choose to talk about it when the finally decide to go ahead and fall off that wagon? Again it goes back to the whole why does it matter and I guess why are those who are choosing to let this information out choosing to market themselves as these pure are the driven snow?

Doesn’t that set you up for further ridicule once you decide that you really like sex and decide the best way to celebrate the new found joy in life is to go ahead and do things in public with a few people.

Seems to be counter productive but I suppose if you make it into adulthood with your virginity in tack that you are only likely to give your V card to the person you marry and they will most likely be giving you theirs on the same day.

I don’t understand it, all the fuss with getting rid of it, keeping it and all the other hubba baloo about it all.

I certainly can respect and even admire the choice for those who decided to live a chaste life. It is difficult to put your mind back to a place where it is all theory and there isn’t an understanding of what it means to participate in acts of procreation / fornication which really are the same thing. Semantics really I mean if you don’t knock someone up when you do it is it still procreation or is it down graded to fornication because you failed to achieve the desired goal. Because if you try and try and try and always fail you could be doing things an awful lot and in your mind you probably really do believe that it isn’t going to work anyway and isn’t that the whole point? How we see it in our minds.

What if you enjoy the procreation is that allowed because it is supposed to be a strictly clinical thing of producing, so there really shouldn’t be any enjoyment in the process.

I’m really trying not to cross lines because as real life super hero guys tells me all the time I go one step beyond where the conversation should stop.

I’m just not really sure where the line is most of time.

I don’t presently think I know of anyone in my personal life who has made a choice to be chaste. I can certain empathize with where they are but don’t think I fully understand it although for myself I’m not a fan of doing things for myself and really see the wrapping things up on my end of things as a failure of sorts, but I don’t want to be chaste even if I don’t enjoy my end of the bargain and would rather focus on the other person having a complete journey and then going a bit further than planned.

Perhaps that is where the line is and I should go ahead and stop there but I’m not exactly sure that it is the line … did I spell hubba baloo right?

So if you have your V card and want to keep it, good on you mate but most people aren’t going to understand why you are keeping it so it’s probably better that you not really share that information not because it is something to be ashamed of but it is no more anyone else’s business as who you start bumping in the night with or the middle of the afternoon, or on the side of a car in a parking lot full of people, or in a park, or in plane at 30 thousand feet. It just isn’t anyone’s business until you make it their business by talking about it all.

This started out one way then zagged all of a sudden

Lately nothing has made a lot of sense, not that anything has ever really made a lot of sense. A lot of the time it seems that I’m in a truck with tires without tread trying to go up a muddy hill in a rain storm and the temperature is hovering around the freezing point.

I’m trying to keep a positive outlook about it all which with all the doom and gloom of the political climate, it’s a constant bombardment of negativity.

The demons would have a field day if I would soak them in some booze but better to not allow that all to happen, because they are bad enough as of late anyway with out the assistance of anything artificial to arm them up for a siege against my psyche.

The Olympics have helped some but even they haven’t been as exciting as they have normally been, it’s almost as if some cloud have covered up everything and isn’t allowing any luster to brighten up anything.

Lots of controversy too seems to be much more so than I remember in past games. Although a lot of it seems to be from all the stuff going on outside of the games, with several athletes making negative comments in blogs, tweets and other social media.

It is a unique thing though that the commentators would often not hear what an athlete thought about their comments for days after they had made some poor review. Now the athletes have a vehicle to respond immediately if some one trashes them in the press and to have it heard by as wide an audience at the commentator.

It has unfortunately been the sword against the athletes who have made comments against other athletes: religion, ethnic background or what ever else they have decided to talk about. Which certainly would be dismissed if made outside of the framework of the Olympics, but as “Ambassadors” of their respective nations it isn’t just them saying the hurtful things but their country. So some censorship takes place as to what they can say and what they can not say.

Certainly there are other athletes who probably harbor deep animosity toward other athletes for who they are, where they are from, the color of their skin, and any other difference that the Olympics is supposed to erase and have the sons and daughters of the world only see their competitors as athletes in a common sport.

It is good the nations will put aside their political difference and compete predominately for the love of the games.

Our coverage is like most nations focused mainly on our athletes it would be nice to see others but we have such a large delegation and competitors in nearly every single event that spreading it out to cover all of our own athletes is hard let alone trying to include all the nations at the games.

All in all I have enjoyed everything I’ve seen and still love the Olympics for its ideal and that an effort of peace is so widely attended.

I think I need more sleep

It’s 6 something or other in the morning and I’m not really awake yet. I know it’s six something in the morning because it is light out as opposed to it being much earlier and being dark out. There is that place then right before you are really awake or on the other end right before you are really asleep you know you are still in control of your thoughts actively but there is that fog where you can slip into dreaming and your awake self is no longer driving and all your suppressed desires and fears get a turn at the wheel.

Mainly this time in the morning is spent in a debate with myself concerning the downfall of western civilization AKA the snooze button

Get up now or in 5 minutes or in 5 minutes or in 5 minutes.

I need to just get up when it goes off but I don’t and it’s not because the world is so dreadful out there but there is a sense of calm there in those waking moments. Before the weight of the day hits you and what must be done to earn the coin of the realm yet another day.

I like that time at night more so than in the morning. The morning is where things can be a bit hurtful in my internal dialogue. I won’t repeat some of the things in those conversations because they are really rather …well less than nice. If you heard me say them to another person you would think I was the biggest ass on the planet and truly deserving of the title King of the Bastards.

Those voices are soon shuffled back to there respective suppressed recesses for the day.

In other news

Doodle was in for her spring break and we did a few things together including seeing the Hunger Games.

I enjoyed it but was not without flaw in my humble opinion … now I am no purest and certainly understand a novel is not a screen play. However some key things were left out, like disenfranchisement, class discrimination, self loathing and many other things. They did touch on tyranny a bit but not to the extent that it should have been.

However with the state of things in the world would a stark portrayal of the book give a film the embodiment of a Katniss Everdeen and spark a class uprising as we the disenfranchised do a bit of comparison to the haves of the Capital to the haves of the world, comparison to the celebrated classes as in district one with certain professions, you will be rewarded so long as you serve as you are instructed. Then the have not’s of the world and those who are self deluded enough to thing that the little they have is really theirs at all and not just on loan until the haves decide they want it for themselves and take it.

At least Lenny didn’t try to be Hendrix like he so often tries

what did it say to you

They say a picture speaks a thousand words. I agree with that statement. The trick is knowing what 1000 words a picture is speaking. We are the sum of our experiences and what means something to you is meaningless to another. Where one person sees beauty another sees something ordinary. We are the sum of what we know of millions of different little experiences and growing every second of every day. So looking at things one day we see one thing and then another there is something completely different there.

Pictures speak to us or rather our experiences speak to what we see in pictures. No matter what the photographer intends to inspire we will only see what we are prepared to see by what we know.

A tree is just a tree in a field, surrounded by a cloudless sky, barren of leaves, sticks and limbs litter the ground at its base and limbs and branches reach extended toward the heavens above …

Some will see the tree and that will be all they ever see, others will see life and the past and a future, that tree will know that the person taking the photo never will see. What great teachers trees would be if they could speak to us they see hundreds of years while most of us never see half that many.

How fragile we must seem to a tree.

Oddly I haven’t been looking trees, well at least not in the last twenty four hours but they mean something to me. They may not be anything more to another than a source of fuel or building material and largely just green blobs on the hills and parks.

Pictures speak so many things where to one they sing of joy to another they tell a tale of sorrow. Light and dark, yin and yang all there in the same frame and the takers intent is only there for them. As Nikos said through Peter it doesn’t matter what you create or what you do, it is how others see it or hear it that matters and that is where the meaning will be truly known. What 1000 words does the image speak to you?

In other news… I’m not sure if my self imposed hiatus is over from blogging but today was inspired by a photograph and insomnia. I’m not sure that the two are connected I’m also not sure that they are not.

Litter box thought…I wonder just how much poop you scoop in a cat’s life, a ton. Does a cat poop a ton in their life?

I watched a movie and want to see another one

Ugh today was a long and complicated day hopefully tomorrow will be better.

I don’t talk about work here because I can’t and besides they aren’t really fun stories.

In other news

Watched the Social Network recently… Wow I’m not sure who the screenplay and book writers are connected to in the story but they are connected to someone who is not Mark Zuckerberg. So until I find that out and who they are connected to in the story then I’m not sure exactly what to think about it all.

My thought is if someone can’t develop an idea to its fullest potential but can think them really is the genesis of the idea. However, if you can’t do anything with it and someone else can and they make the other persons idea work. Who really owns the idea then? I’m not sure and I think that’s the point.

Jesse Eisenberg and Justin Timberlake are absolutely brilliant in this movie. Both are becoming favorite actors. I’ve yet to see either in a role that wasn’t well preformed.

In other news

There is another trailer of the Harry Potter last part on the CD of the first part of the last part which releases tomorrow. I can’t wait for July. Do I have time to read all the books again? Maybe, but I’m not likely to do it

Random stuff

I really think that crossword puzzle writers just want to hurt your brain and if you don’t keep doing them they are some how able to suck part of your brains away.

Stunt boy asked why do they say it’s good luck if it rains on your wedding day? I said I guess so you feel better about it raining on your wedding day.

What if your car started making phone calls on your phone? You know because your car can answer your phone now. That’s just a hijack and wifi connect from your car becoming a platform to abuse your car, your phone and your bank account all at once.

Hey what should I do with this book?

I started out writing about one of the things that I’ve been meditating on lately being the falling away from the daily use of weapons in our modern age. However a lot of other thoughts crept in regarding today’s world with the world when the Hagakure was written 300 years ago.

Our worlds are very different but still face many of the same issues.

Lots of books have been around for centuries the Hagakure being just one of many some have been around for many centuries.

The range of topics varies but my thoughts have been have these oldest books survived because of the great knowledge written down on the pages, stone, animal hide, mashes and dried plant matter or what ever materials they were penned.

Many cases the argument would seem fairly easy yes these books contain knowledge that needs to be known by the generations that follow and people have taken great care to preserve them.

However the nagging thought in the back of my mind is are these really the best things that man had offered up and what remains from 2000 years ago are just what happened to survive until the modern day.

I’m sure there is some doubt to the latter argument but take the library of Alexandria burned to the ground by Romans what knowledge was lost then for all time. What painful discoveries already made had to be made over again. How many times have we had to relearn that the world is round or round-ish, or that the misuse of lands leads to the death of the people living on those lands? How close have we come to extinction? They estimate that the plague killed off over a quarter of the world population at that time.

Has that ever happened before and all record of it has been lost to the whims of a tyrant’s torch? Or even an accidental fire, every major European city and several here in the US have been extremely damaged by mass fires.

Our transfer of knowledge into technology which isn’t compatible with the next generation of technology, could we be our own killers of knowledge in our quest to be better?

But is what survives the best stuff that was ever out there or will somebody find some thing buried somewhere and say, ‘We found better stuff.’ But this time it won’t be juice it will be something even cooler.

In other news

I still think I look at the world just fine thank you very much

I have not, nope, wasn't me

There are some really not so smart things or just down right strange things that guys do.
These are things that women will do with each other and not think about, I dare say not even bat an eye at some of them.

I’ll start with the first basic thing going to the restroom.

Women will go together and not think about it. Guys will not except at sporting events and sometimes the movies.

Women will talk in the restroom. Guys will not. Guys will not even make eye contact if possible. We just don’t have anything to talk about in there.

Women will at times go into the same stall in a restroom as their friends. Guys will not even use a urinal next to another guy 99.9 percent of the time if there is a stall option.

Clothing and the body and talking and conversation.

Women will ask all sorts of questions about their clothes. Guys will just toss stuff on and then change when the ladies in their lives say you know that doesn’t really match or look good. We aren’t going to ask anyone.

Women will trade clothing pretty much anything except underwear. Guys will trade jackets and ties, and nothing else.

Women will even trade swimwear, Guys will just swim in the clothing they have on rather than trade. Yes we are that stupid.

Women will try on clothes for their friends. Guys will barely acknowledge they own any clothing other than what they have on at the time. The exception here is sports gear.

Women will ask how they look. Guys will not ever acknowledge if they have noticed a physical change in another appearance unless it is really drastic.

Women will talk about their feelings. Guys will barely acknowledge that they have feelings with most other guys. The exception is that you may say you feel a certain way but you may not go into depth about why you feel a certain way. The guys whom you’ve told you feel a certain way may agree and say they have felt that way too. End of discussion.

Women will compare personal care products and talk endlessly about the pros and cons of this product or that product. Guys will barely acknowledge that they use any care products. We may admit to getting hair cuts but we are not allowed to notice when are guy friends get them unless they shave their head.

Women can compliment one another on perfumes they are wearing. Guys may not acknowledge they have noticed another guy’s cologne unless it is to say, what did you take a bath in that? Seriously guys, it’s a scent not a hunting lure, you can’t camoflauge yourself in the office by drowning in cologne. In fact it will drive people away their eyes watering rather than bringing them in to get to know you better.

Speaking of watering eyes.

Women may cry in front of one another for any reason. Guys may cry in front of one another… well pretty much never. However if you are on the same sporting team you may cry if you lose a big game. There really aren’t any other exceptions here for crying in front of other guys. You may cry with women for example you are watching a movie and it’s really touching and emotional. You may cry then if the woman with you is crying. If she is not, keep your eyes dry, because a girl will call you a wuss just as fast as a guy. No if you feel a good cry coming on, tilt you head back, blink quickly a few times, breath in deeply through the nose and out the mouth at least 15 to 20 seconds. This should be enough time for what ever is going on to be over or for you to compose yourself enough not to cry.

If you are by yourself and watching, oh lets say the end of everybody’s fine, you may cry your eyes out then but only by yourself.

Heave ho, thieves and beggers

Heave ho, thieves and beggars

Andy ‘the hack’ Warhol said once that everyone will get 15 minutes of fame. Since then the media has been droning on this mantra and the flock has followed and mumbled along even though the piper was really a drug addled hack who preyed on the work of others to promote him self and exploit those around him. But really we aren’t all that hard to pin. So why not …right… get yours before some one else does. (Shrug and chagrin)

However, let us suppose for a moment that the hack was on to something. How would you want to spend your 15 minutes of fame or how would you like to be known for your 15 minutes.

We really over use the phrase and are collectively as unoriginal as the hack but I don’t want to nail my 15 minutes down to anything because a better idea might come along.

Because I’ve had some pretty good ideas… well not so much good ideas a they were ideas that would certainly have gotten me the 15 minutes, although they were mainly in the realm of notorious and I don’t really know if I have the requisite skills to do some of it but it certainly sounded good in theory. But reason prevailed or at least that’s the story I’m sticking too. You know incase the guys with dot gov are still reading since the last misuse of certain words.

I assure you that all of those ill thought ideas died in the planning stages and we firmly realize that any infamy would probably be as a story on the Darwin Awards or Stupid Human tricks or even to a lesser degree a WTF Wednesday episode or issue. Anyway.

I should probably just record the stuff I ramble on about, I try to write down and I end up with a literal shoe box full of little notes of stuff I’ve muttered, thought, ideas I’ve hatched.

Hoover has asked me at least once, ‘do you even listen to what you are saying?’

Honestly? Ah…

No, Mainly I do but I get into these stream of consciousness rambles and just go with the flow of things and the idea is to just not stop talking or if you are writing to just keep the words coming out and not worry if the context makes sense.

Some of you may be asking how is it any different from all of this?

Well not so much really I try to recreate it a bit here but there is some thought put into it all and I do pause sometimes to think…yeah I know shock right… Yes I can and do think … at least sometimes, but thanks for asking.

But I’m not a very fast typist so I have time to see what I’m saying unless I close my eyes while I’m typing to entertain myself. Yes sometimes it is that easy. Happiness is in the little things. I just have to get into the practice of rereading things. What a bother (roll eyes)

However, I would like the 15 minutes to be for something that makes other people go you know that is pretty darn cool, like Boxer Hockey and not like most of the random stuff that is in my head. But it keeps me happy and one or three of you chuckle out there now and again so you laugh too. Now if there were just a way to turn that into a little bling. I’m working on a couple of things. I’ll keep you informed as they develop … btw some of my plans develop on a movement rate akin to glacial movement… just saying.

Random thought of the day

I would by music but they called me Pirate and that is just not something you let go of lightly. See that could have been the 15 minutes, thankfully it was not but the gall lawyers call me pirate. If that’s not the pot calling the kettle black. If you are a lawyer I mean that will the utmost respect to your profession and some of you are actually decent people but a lot of you are scurvy dogs who should just own up to the fact that your shingle should marked with a skull and cross bones. Hoist the colors and pass the rum.

Litter box thought… this really is Disney Land … not the litter box but here and all of our supposed troubles.

Real, not real

A lot of my time lately has been considering many things and in such times, I sometimes find myself lost. Not because my mind is unable to find my way back to things but just grounding myself in where things started. What is real and what is possibility or if you prefer not real.

I think many times we, not just me, get too far out from the starting point and then what is possibility ends up being a substitute for the real. Then from that point what occurs is ultimately unstable because it isn’t built on anything real just what was possible.

Like standing at the edge of the land and sea, standing there long enough you’ll find that you are neither in the sea nor are you on land but you may find you are in a predicament and unable to move anywhere. However you will continue to sink further down.

While each, being firmly on land or completely to sea, holds plentiful rewards and tragic peril only peril will befall the person in between.

I need to meditate on the first two pillars and mindfulness. I think my action and intent are correct. In the area of mindfulness it isn’t that it isn’t correct but drifting in the possible rather than the real.

I rather enjoy the possible and think that for all that is imagined if real would be correct. However it is only possible and that is the grounding anchor I need to keep in mind. What is real and what is hope.

In film news – I have recently watched

Paper Man – I enjoyed this movie, the trail depicts a light hearted trip of a writer struggling to produce. I recommend it but it has a few creepy moments and is much darker than the trailer depicts. Well worth it if you like a studio –indie film.

Catchfish – a documentary of modern life and the internet. Wow I won’t give any spoilers but if you wanted to see this movie and like indie documentaries this one is very well done and timely.

Dark City – was told it was a must see before seeing the adjustment bureau – I truly hope the two are not connected. I like the concept here but I think it was filmed solely to be bizarre and lost sight of the story.

A Girl Walks Into a Bar – a full length made for the internet movie and it’s free. It was free. There were a lot of bigger names in this film like Danny DeVito, Rosario Dawson, that evil guy from Heroes and many others. It was only mildly creative, the story was good there was a little character development but not much – it’s worth a look if just want to see a new movie, but there is nothing really all that new going on except for maybe the naked ping-pong which may not really be that original.

Let The Right On In – Swedish version of the book ‘Let Me In’ and US movie of the same name. I’ve seen both and both leave a lot of the book out.

The Swedish version is truer to the core of the books but still omits a lot.
The US version looses a lot of the elements of the book and renames a main character, and substitutes in two minor parts and one supporting character to represent the nearly ten missing book characters. The US version had much better effects and neither version really develop the two main characters well enough. If you like vampire movies they are worth watching, if you don’t care for vampires then passing on them is probably the better idea.

The US version had much better effects and neither version really develop the two main characters well enough. If you like vampire movies they are worth watching, if you don’t care for vampires then passing on them is probably the better idea.

Do you really know the person or do you know their persona

To say what I’m really thinking most of the time isn’t something I do very often. There are several reasons for this. Let me state this right up front, I do not actively attempt to lie, deceive or mislead anyone with the things that I’m saying. That would be bad. Right speech and all. However what is right. It all depends on which the side of the fence you are standing or if you are looking at the fence from some other place. It’s all relative.

Now you may say I mislead people all of the time. I challenge that by saying I don’t attempt to get the people I’m speaking with to arrive at a point in their thinking which is false or to believe something I am saying if they are not open to it.

Admittedly, I will redirect to other topics rather than talk about things I don’t want to speak about or will just ignore their question and bring up a new subject. You may feel that this is merely semantics and verbal trickery to justify not answering a question.. I will still contest this not falsehood but will admit that it may indeed be the Off to Buffalo Shuffle or the Avoidance Two Step but in no way is a lie, falsehood or other wise untrue statement. It is better not to answer than to say something which is not true.

There have been times I have been confused in my facts before and will state things that I believe are true which later are proven to be false. Who hasn’t done that, right. I don’t grasp stupidly to what I thought was true in the face of information disproving my information.

Everyone has skeletons in their closet, some closets have a lot more skeletons than others. We know who we know and each relationship depends on the role or roles we are in while we interact with each person. All of us has numerous layers to who we are each layer has a lesser or more complete version of the person we recognize as our true self.
We may not really know our true selves completely. There are probably very few of us who interacts on a level of complete transparency with everyone in our lives.

Is there someone who knows every thought we have and does entertaining a thought really make that part of our personality.

What is normal for you? Some people can ponder the most morbid things and not bat an eye while others have trouble keeping it together for a hangnail.

Over the last while, insert a measurement of time you feel is appropriate, there have been thoughts spinning many of them in contrast with one another. I don’t even write them in the blog. Not because I think they are horrid thoughts but that mort people really don’t think these things. You can decipher how people might take a thought and ultimately how they classify you in their thoughts and actions and what they share with you. They may even stop interacting with you altogether depending on the thought.

Our thoughts do color how we see others but they don’t necessarily define how we will treat them in our interactions. There is a difference and the line is significant. However we don’t always see that our thoughts and actions are disconnected because many times there is a correlation in thought to action.

I could write out every thought I’ve had and tell every action I remember in the completes detail that I can muster. I would simply be telling the whole truth as I know it. How many lives would be ruined because of that truth, what ultimate gain or benefit would come from deconstructing the walls, unlocking all the doors, opening every box, or breathing life into every skeleton. It’s only the truth.

The truth isn’t what we want, we want people to fit in to how we understand them and we don’t want them crossing lines without permission. It makes it hard for us to know how to relate to them. Just like people want you to fit in where you belong.

Sometimes we will tell someone part of a truth to gage their reaction. Then there is the tension while we wait to see how they respond

In the time it takes them to respond a few seconds our whole world changes a bit and we live and die in the seconds in between.

So if you ran really fast...

It’s late or early I’m never sure which most of the time. It depends largely on what ever it is that is going on.

I’m not dead so I’m not late so I’m early, hopefully very early

As to the photograph I’m not early. I’m not sure I was ever on that road, so does that make me late? It’s a photograph I can’t show to you … no not because of that… well maybe… point is I’m not sharing… no, just deal with it … honestly if you could hear yourself.

As to the song I’m late the photograph has nothing to do with the song oh but if it did, now that would be something.

Early, late, on time, here now, then, later, when, soon, in a bit, after a while, today, tomorrow, yesterday, back then, someday, back in the day, not long, ago, in a sec, about an hour, tick tock, hurry, … and so many more

It’s all relative, which may in fact be a cop out, a give up, phoning it in(WTF I hate that saying…just saying)

However it really is all relative the thing is finding out to what it’s all relative. It’s more than one thing knowing what thing it is, is the rub.

Some things are relative to more than one thing but more relative to some than others.

Even if it is relative is it relevant or arbitrary… mainly it depends where you are to the assigned importance of a thing.

Essentially, it’s all rocks, banged, beaten, burned, bent, and other wise manipulated into a thing that was different than when it started but it is essentially still the same as when it started but it’s not the same. Then is the new thing better than what it was before?

Like the genetic soup in which we all start out… We are still that same goo but reformed is it better? Not sure exactly…

It’s all meaningless and unimportant yet seems to have the weight of mountains at times. It’s really both and neither and drives many to …

Tears, fists, drink, murder, joy, love, rage, happiness, … and all of that

Go to where it’s dark, I mean really dark, then look at the stars, look out in to the vast expanse

What impact does anything of all the everything going on here on this mud ball have to ever do with anything going on out there in the vast dark…
But would you trade it?

mirror, mirror, on the wall....

Mirror, Mirror

Looking into the glass and in the looking back we see a person

The person we see isn’t the one the people around us always see

Usually the mark isn’t too far from the mark but there are times when what we see in ourselves is completely missed by those around us.

Sometimes it’s a positive difference that the world sees
Other times it is a negative difference that the world sees

In the looking glass I see me

What do you see when you see me

In other news…

I am truly invisible

There was a point when I started but I lost it

There was a point when I started but I lost it

So it’s Saturday morning not early by a farmer’s standards and gawd-awful if you are a night owl/stripper. Not sure why I tossed stripper there but they do tend to keep late hours. I’m not entirely sure why though perhaps it’s because most of us have more to do when it’s day time and if we want to fit in a little extra curricular voyeuristic watching of naked people the only time slots for this are lunch time out by the airport or very late at night in the sketchy neighborhoods.

Anyway strippers were not the topic du jour but there rarely is a topic I just dive in and rant or blather on endlessly. There generally is a thought that brings me to the keyboard but not much of one or there is some grave social injustice that needs to be righted… as in corrected not shifted to the right politically.

Why does the right get to be called right? I think they like it because it makes them sound correct when they say I’m right sided politically. I don’t like that we need different terms for this so someone get on that I’m still trying to figure out how I can get some stripper time in my day and haven’t got time for the whole restructuring thing.

There was a guy who I was station with or with whom I was stationed, either way the point is he dated a prostitute… I kid you not… actually dated a prostitute and not for money dating I mean this was his girl friend and when he want to the base to be all cop like she went to the club where she worked and humped guys in town.

How was your day dear?

Well I arrested a couple of guys for assault, how was your day?

Well it was a slow day only 3 customers today what would you like for dinner?

Hey to each his own, at least he didn’t have that nagging question in his head I wonder if she is having sex with someone else … yes she is. I sure it would work the other way too but boy prostitutes aren’t in huge demand with the ladies and by boy I mean adult male not a little kid because that is messed up. Just so we’re clear. I mean I stretch the line for argument sake and be all devil’s advocate but only to a point.

The reason I sat down today to scribble electronically is another blog I’m reading. Based on the idea that the writter of said blog can live on 365 dollars a year. Yup a buck a day. I thought WOW what freakin’ awesome idea how cool is that. I even got further excited about it because they too do not eat the dead woodland and plains creatures. Hell yeahs.

Build up, excitement, let down. The writer of this blog is not doing very well on this quest. In fact some might say they are sucking at it but I continue to read maybe the bus will turn around at some point. Once you get lost enough it’s better to just have fun with it so that’s where I am with this one. I would try to do it as well but I have the kid to feed and he isn’t on board with the whole he do you think we can live on a dollar a day for a year.
Yeah try that with set up with any middle class teenager in the US and see what they say. So I’m not trying it at least not on the weeks that he is here in my house. I’m processing the idea and will get back to you on all of that.

In other news…

I’m not dead, no plans on being dead in the near future but that’s out of my hand in a large way

Beauteous day out there so I’m going…you know out there in the world with the grass and the trees and the day light. Well not too far out I’ll still be with in 60 to 100 feet of the computer most of the day. That’s about as far as I can go on the property and there aren’t any plans for leaving the property today work like things in the yard but it’s sort of fun playing in the dirt. Well not really but I’m telling myself that it is so I’ll do it rather than start up POTCO and stay inside all day. Wanna ride in my war galleon?

:;"'?/>.<,!@#$%^&*()_-+=`~[]{} <---- not letters <----words <--- and another ...

Well it’s a good thing I don’t get paid for blogging because I would be not getting paid or on the slacker side of thinking I would be making more per issue than if I were putting something up everyday.

So why haven’t I been writing. Glad you asked and if you didn’t I’m going to pretend that you did and tell you any way.

One and this is the main reason, introspection. I’ve been deep in the dark places peering into the abyss looking for answers in the black. I tend to get lost there because while it is creepy, dark and forbidding, I know it’s creepy, dark and forbidding and that bad things happen there all the time for no reason. Better to know than not see it coming.

There is that, while I’m not at the edge I’m really never far from it. All though I know from here there is a ledge down in the abyss you can’t see it but it’s there when you hit there it will hurt and getting back from there is nearly impossible.

Two, yes there is a two, distraction. Yes I’ve been distracted and not with anything particularly important either. In fact the distraction pushed me a bit further into the introspection.

Three, too much to say. Yes it is possible. The gear box is always spinning. I don’t know how when you ask someone what are you thinking and they say nothing. Nothing? Seriously how can you be thinking nothing! It isn’t possible to be thinking nothing or if it is I don’t know how to not be thinking nothing. Anyone thinking nothing? I call bullshit.

Four, well it’s not really a reason but a problem but more of a mathematically problem with people. It’s complicated and not the first time I’ve been in this problem. I know what the answer isn’t but I do know what the answer is from one side of the equation. But there are two sides to the equation and sub parts as well. I don’t know those answers so I vote for distraction which leads to further introspection which leads to more thinking and things to say and not knowing how to say them. You know?

Five is the OFUC thing so there is that but it is really tied to the others so is a sub part.

Six, I have been writing and then deleting it.

In other news…

I did exactly what I wanted this weekend. If I thought about doing something and I didn’t want to do it I didn’t. So I did pretty much nothing all weekend. Yup. I did nothing. Not a damn thing which I’ll regret later and it will lead to more introspection but for now I’m still doing nothing. Well you know until later when I’ll be doing something but I’m still thinking.

The sun is warm... the flowers are blooming and the TWG are in wife beaters

Make a list of word that you think about your self, use what ever organizational pattern you want. Don’t share it on here because I’m certainly not going to, but if you wish to share by all means share

I may at some point but I just thought of it. Sort of as a guide for enhancing the things which I like about myself and changing those things which I don’t and coming to a better outlook about those things which are what they are;

I’ll come back to this at some point.

Classes are going well and have about come to a close for this semester. Class nights leave little time for me and less time for writing.

In other news…

Not really sure what it is about a TWG … but wow… I have the mantra that cures it … well there are two one is they just steal your stuff … the other is usually true as well.

It goes in all directions please fasten your safety belts it gets a wee bit bumpy

Wonderful weather weekend what would we wish were we wee wabbits

Continuing with the alliteration would require more work but that isn’t half dam bad for on the fly … by that I mean that was a totally random sentence that sprang from my head.

Yeah it is kind of scary in there… as there are parts of my mind I don’t linger because to do so would be… well I might move there if given the chance.

So off that

Internet versus TV, TV versus internet. Has the internet killed TV.

No, TV does have to work harder to keep people interested. The internet has damaged the sustainability of things, what happens in one part of the world is in minutes every where else … literally everywhere there is internet. So things don’t last. And our attention span becomes more and more like a squirrel on crack with ADHD doubling up on the meds.

Yeah that would be a marathon in 2.8 minutes … curiously though when will the two hour barrier for the marathon fall. ??? Once upon a time the 4 minute mile was thought to be the ultimate barrier. It fell.

Will the 3.5 mile ever happen as in 3 minutes 30 seconds that’s quick that is I tell yah. Now imagine a squirrel runnin’ a ‘hole marathon in less time. Yeah like … well sumthin’ really fast .. Yeah like lighting but without all the light and static.

Scatter brained we are

Sound bite junkies, give me my fix so I can ramble on to the next pretty thing

Sustainability it what the internet killed not TV but kill sustainability you dry up the money, dry up the money, you kill it.

TV got too big

Internet got really too big

Business got to big

Sustainable and manageable

This was not at all were I was going with all of this but this is were we are now. Why have only 2 place in the entire world making something. Especially if those two things are used by a big part of the world. Well to maximize profits that’s why, to ensure product quality. Big business mumbo jumbo.

If you are still making the same number of products to sell, you are using the same amount of raw materials, if you had 10 places making the same product the cost goes up a bit for a few more workers but the cost goes down in transportation and lost/damaged other problems. The product can actually be made in less time also saving money for the big business. The workers will also have less stress as each will be responsible for less of the over all production percentage and less errors will occur a money saver too. Less errors builds customer satisfaction. Less stress equals worker satisfaction equals sustainability of employees keeping retraining costs down, errors down, efficiency up. All money savers.

Big business is infected with a virus I call the gottohaveitall syndrome or big greedy muther fucker wants all the toys and doesn’t want to share with anyone and fuck the customer if the whatever we are selling doesn’t work right because we’ll just drag their happy ass to court and they can’t afford a lawyer so we win fuck you joe average guy or gal I got all the fucking money and you don’t so boo hoo.

Yeah the gottohaveitall syndrome is much easier to say and takes less time. A money saver.

New Jersey, of all places had an idea like this once upon a time. You have to have someone pump your gas. You as the consumer buying gasoline have to pay to have someone pump it for you. Thousands of jobs over night. Blam-o … well maybe not the best word to toss out there with gasoline. Spread it around people. You can still make enough money to choke an elephant but it might take two weeks instead of one to do it.

Put on your big boy panties and own some reality. If the masses fail it’s not long before the masses become the mob, the mob the rioting hoard, then the streets run with… a red think liquid sounds like … huh … ever try to come up for a rhyme for blood before … not so simple but not a difficult as orange… yeah there is nothing in English for orange …hang it up junior seuss he didn’t even go there … it’s sacred like the cow or something leave it alone.

So ask not what you can do for big business but ask what you can do for your self to keep your money out of the hands of big business. You’ll still be poor and underpaid but you will be sticking it to the man in an almost meaningless way but if enough of us say you know you charge to fucking much for that there thing-a-ma-bob well they’ll be forced to sell it all for a minor profit to dollar store brand or an internet warehouse seller who will hang on to it before moving it another chain and another … see spread it around.

Spread it around makes everybody happy think about life as a giant peanut butter sandwich the best ones are the ones when you take a bit of time and make sure the peanut butter goes all the way to edges. Spread it around don’t be selfish and mean, share a bit with the corners yeah everyone likes the middle the best but the edges need love too they aren’t just handles for tossing out when you eat them middle bits. Spread it around people you’ll be glad you did. Tell others too. They’ll be glad too, and they’ll tell others and they will too and soon … well it will be a great big peanut butter sandwich day in heaven if everyone just spreads it around a bit more.

Ok I’m done but seriously … share you’ll be glad you did

Chicken face... peck...peck...hunt...peck

Chicken face

Odd thoughts that you have in the morning. If you are reading this most likely you have some sort of device that you carry around with you that allows you to send and receive messages.

The odd thought was how intently people stare at the screens when sending messages. As if they move their face the message won’t be sent.

What did we do before we could constantly talk to each other via other little devices.

Well hell even this is differently. I’m essentially an unpublished writer, guy who writes little bits of stuff, or whatever, and people … ok maybe not, but the point is before people would have to come to me to read this stuff or I would have to be better at this to get is published.

Now we can invade others lives much more easily.

Mine you have to for the most part look for it. But anyone or any business and increasingly any hacker, or scammer and ring you up in your pocket and have your attention and create a level of anxiety, elation, other feeling in your interaction or lack there of.

Oh why haven’t they texted me

What does this mean (insert favorite vowel-less text speak)

Why are vowels a texting no go unless they are words

Then sexting …ah

I don’t even want to go there… well not in this issue

The question is I suppose do we create a lot of stress in our relationships by the constant talking back and forth in the lives of people we know. There is no time to savor the person or to develop a sense of missing the person. Become critical of a person because they don’t live up to your E- expectations.

What if we didn’t have hands would we grow beaks so we could still send out our messages all chicken style

In other news…

Boo on you spring and pollen more specifically … I do not like my allergies.

The two ideas are not mutually exclusive

There are days when I feel like the world is crashing down around me
And I’m not sure that it won’t actually fall apart

I suppose that is normal.

But if it’s normal that the world is about to just end … what is abnormal.

My job doesn’t help with that, for some people my showing up at their door may mean they are having a really bad day. For others it’s just a pain. Not many people are happy to see me.

The positive side of this I get to meet a lot of new people all of the time and have interesting conversations.

I mean if my job is a harbinger of doom in a respect … well more a herald of bad things, a beacon of things amiss, it can be a poison which infects how you fill in the blanks.

I try not to fill in the blanks and find the right peg for the right slot, not just the one that fit. A round peg will slide easily into a square slot, and a round into a square but it isn’t a good fit but it works.

However, the pegs are relative and depend on the measuring rod

The world is falling apart but what if it’s not.

Doodle also had while I skipped the meat portions which were;
- Shrimp cocktail

Thus ended the ...whatever this break in writting was ... but that isn't the point but is there a point?

So I say I don’t watch a lot of TV.

Which in one way can be seen as very true and in another as an utter falsity.

Like the inner voice in your head screams that isn’t even close to anything truthful as the words leave your lips.

So true I own a television and I watch movies on the television but is that really watching television or is it more to the point watching a movie on television … semantics perhaps but I choose to hold that I don’t watch TV and shouldn’t eat pizza.

In fact I have six televisions.

One is attached to the overly prices cable box I rent every month by the appropriately named company for raping my wallet.
Two is attached to my son’s xbox 360 which is all that TV is used for is gaming.
Three is sitting in the house and may be a dead TV but I can’t really afford to have it checked by a TV doctor so it is in limbo
Four is in my son’s room he watches it when he isn’t playing x box and I’m playing the PS3 on the TV in the room for the living which is really for the sitting and the watching but is named for the living
Five and Six are little portable ones that has a VCR built in that I do some times use to watch tape as I no longer have a functional VCR it is also in the limbo pile of electronics which are in deed most likely dead but may still be alive if the dr. Frankenstein of mostly dead electronics can revive them … oddly I think it may be lighting that has killed one if not both of these.

The point however is not that I have all those TV but if I do in fact actually watch TV. Which I don’t but my logic

By that logic I should just stop buying / renting the cable and I would but my son does watch TV and I do at times watch stuff

I don’t like the idea of being tied to a show … you have to see it on Monday or what ever day. Even if you Tivo or DVR it you can’t talk about what ever show it is you watch unless you are talking about the following day that it aired

Hmmm… no

I like movies.

Which have a very specific talking frame only when they are new … if you rent it you can’t talk about it because someone will say yeah I saw that when it was new back like 18 months ago. Or I saw the first version and not the crappy rip off that this version is by comparison.

I should have gone to film school.
I like movies

I hate movies that lots of people like, I like movies that lots of people hate, I watch movies I’m not sure I like to the end. Only one has made me wish I had not done this.

I’ve seen a lot of movies … seriously a lot of movies. No where near as many as some.

But is my liking movies a fear of commitment or is that just to deep a view for this particular topic.

I'm not really phobic about the commitment to a TV show but I tend to make plans without asking the TV shows if it's ok or others make plans on the days that shows are indeed on and I’ll do that other thing and the TV show is there alone without me

Related to that I just can't see getting involved with a DVR at this stage in my life but maybe soon but not so much for me but for the shows you know as respect to the commitment … I’ll have to think about it because you can’t really talk about the shows you watch on DVR it’s like having a dirty little secret… well not that the secret needs to be dirty. They are just better secrets when they are and generally more fun.

In other news…

I was going to write something else today, yesterday, the day before and the week and some of not writing that has preceded this post… but I didn’t

Stood up … again.

Was Lucy really about hallucinogens or not
