Wow, this certainly was not intentional

Day one of the new year has had a familiar start for me as it has for the past few years. I’m not sure why it has become a couples holiday or event. Because the year changes over just the same for all of us single people too.

Yet, every party or event is couples only or it’s a family event and if you aren’t with your family that particular day there you are alone in a sea of people. That is a strange feeling.

My intention was not to write something blah, but I just sat down and this is what flowed from the stream. I’m also not sure why it is that the auto correct is telling me that the new and year together need to be capitalized. It is correct the way it is without the capital letters. Yeah we need to do more things by computer. They are only as smart as we want them to be and they are only as efficient as the programmers.

One of the programs we use at work requires 8 different page openings before you can do anything that is of course after you go through the 6 step process to get to that page. It goes down a lot too, not as much as oh lets say trashy girls but a lot.

While we are on the subject of trashy girls, I’m not sure what it is about them that is so darn appealing. Le sigh. I also know to stay away from them too. One because they will steal your stuff, two they usually have an ex who is currently incarcerated and soon to be released or has just recently been released from incarceration. Three, in addition to the property crimes things, they do tend to be a wee bit violent, with that they prefer knives. Think a gun helps a person with a knife can close a 30 foot distance before you can draw a pistol. Where in your house will you be more than 30 feet from this person when they snap in to deranged mode. Four, related to the latter snap is the high percentage for mental health issues. Five, related to mental health issue is usually some form of substance abuse in an attempt to self medicate.

But when you see them walking around in the tattered jeans and the wife beater… well everyone has their Achilles heel, it’s better to know than not know so you can avoid the pit falls of this sort of thing. Think this is not a good look, ladies pop in the movie The Town or just ask your man what he thought of Blake Lively in that movie and you will know if your man is attracted to trashy girls or not. While her part isn’t very big in that movie she nailed that role.

In other news

I know you are so glad that the ode to the trashy girl is over. We have a new captain for the ship and the hammer is about to fall. Not sure what exactly is going to happen but things will happen. Anytime, there is a change of captains there are always new orders or a new priority on how things get done. The private sector doesn’t like change and I’m as guilty of disliking change as much as the next person but I grumble when I can but do it the new way. Not because it’s easier it’s just the way I was trained.

The military does that to you or for you. Change can happen very quickly in the military and you’ll be taking orders from a new somebody in the blink of an eye which is why they change your commanders frequently enough so you get used to change but not so frequently as to make thing chaotic. If they can’t change the commanders they change the mission and if they can’t change the mission they exercise you. Change happens, change is necessary to remain productive, viable and effective. In the military you change and if you don’t like it bitch about it on your own time. Which technically is when your enlistment is over but there is off duty time when you are free to gripe bitch and or complain in a respectful fashion. You just don’t blindly follow orders, if the orders are wrong you don’t follow them and the UCMJ allows you to do this without repercussion. The private sector doesn’t really prepare people to same way. The new captain hasn’t done anything for several months but lay low and see what is going on. Which is worse in some cases than the person who comes in and on day one has a new game plan and says this is what I want and you will conform.

So we have a meeting and the general pulse of things is that heads will roll. Happy New Year, see computer it is appropriate here you dumb firetrucking machine. I probably won’t be letting you all know the content of said meeting because the trend lately here I the good ol’ US of A is to squash your free speech and fire anyone who says disparaging things about their place of employment and in an economy which has taken up residency at the south pole it’s not a good idea to rock the boat or fly above radar.

In other, other news.

The USAS automatic shotgun RAWKS … hells yeah and stuff. However, freaking kill count whores who want to rush through the co-op missions are fucking annoying the crap out of me. The job of a sniper is to be silent and accurate … one shot one muther fucking kill you stupid noob… Sorry it is just very frustrating to me that these people are the very definition of insanity … doing the same thing the same way and expecting a different result over and over and over again. If it didn’t work the way you did it, it means the programming doesn’t like your solution…ie you fail. Be smarter than the firetrucking machine.

Oh and if you are new what starts with F and ends in UCK, that’s right Firetruck.

Happy New Year, hope you don’t have a hang over and if you do well probably best to avoid the sun for a bit, drink lots of water and take some meds you’ll live, you may not wish you had right now but you’ll be happy about it later, unless you hooked up with a trashy girl in which case you may be missing some thing and or suffering from some injuries. In which case, sorry I’m your year will get better because starting off on such a low point where else is there to go but up. See the silver lining but don’t say that to the trashy girl because she’ll beat you for the silver.

Well, that’s all for now, other stuff tomorrow most likely
